In this VFX, I wanted to achieve the effect of a large petri dish as a cyborg transmission node. The virtual hologram gradually transformed into a real person in the dish.
Converting a hologram into a character is challenging. I used the material node 3color Blend to combine the hologram shader, the character shader, and the shader at the junction of the two, then used dynamic parameters in Niagara to control the transformation. At the same time I use postprocessvolume during the transition to make the transition smoother.
